John Fletcher, Bishop Egan class of 1989, passed away too early on April 9, 2011.  In tribute to John's contribution to the Bishop Egan and Conwell-Egan football program, each of the 2011 Conwell-Egan Eagles wore John's number "34" on their helmets and dedicated the season to his memory.  John played a vital role in the rise of the program in the late 80's.  His work ethic, leadership and committment resulted in receiving All Philadelphia First Team honors as well as leading the team to the finals.  John was an employee of Cement Masons Local 592 and resided in his hometown of Bristol, PA.  

Most importantly, John was a loving and devoted husband to Jessica and father to Jake Andrew.  Friends and family have established a scholarship fund in John's memory which will support Jake's future education.  Event planning is underway for the annual John Fletcher Memorial Classic.
